I don't see the harm in knowing someone else's business as long as the relationship is reciprocal (that is the crucial point).

But it isn't, is it? That is the crucial point. That you believe the twaddle you write worries me because you are clearly unable to see just how dangerous your views would be if put into practice. They have been, and the societies involved dismantled the apparatus. Just pause for a moment and ask yourself why they did that.

I don't see the harm in knowing someone else's business as long as the relationship is reciprocal (that is the crucial point). Anybody's actions (however private) can have an impact on someone else's life and the more honest information is out there it can only be of benefit.

Yes, luddites have been misrepresented, but it is the popular conception of the term that I wish to use.
